JR. Developer

Essential Functions: This position requires excellent technical knowledge of developing web applications in an Oracle 9i/10g environment. Activities will include custom application creation and maintenance including capturing user requirements, developing code, unit testing, and implementing software changes. Successful candidates possess strong customer relationship and communication skills, and are organized, detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.

• Development and maintenance of web applications to meet functional business requirements in a Linux, Oracle 10g environment.
• Design and develop custom extensions (e.g. packages, functions, procedures, and triggers), conversions and API’s.
• Assists in migrating code changes to production.
• Utilizes best practices and accepted software development lifecycle methodologies.
• Works with account managers and functional analysts to perform requirements gathering.
• Provides technical documentation to detail the development, logic and testing processes.

Other duties/Responsibilities: Works with Quality Assurance technicians to perform testing. Provides technical expertise necessary to support the daily operations.

Skills-Knowledge-Abilities:
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Superior analytical skills.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline, or foreign degree equivalent, with three (3) years of related work experience or Associates degree in related technical discipline with five (5) years of related work experience.
