Revenue Analyst

Summary: The Revenue Analyst provides analytical support to the sales and marketing functional areas by performing revenue forecasting, pricing, and client, product and market profitability analyses and insuring accurate and reliable marketing and management information is used to support decision-making

Essential Functions: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification. • Supports the revenue forecasting and budgeting processes by implementing appropriate processes and procedures to efficiently and effectively gather relevant information and involve appropriate management and marketing staff to accurately evaluate and forecast client, line of business, and product revenue and volumes as input to the budget process
• Provides periodic revenue variance analyses, identifying any material trends that are affecting past and future revenue and volume performance
• Supports pricing decision-making, including maintaining prevailing/standard price lists, and performing profitability analyses, as required
• Supports new business acquisition and contract renewals by implementing and preparing profitability models in support of the sales and marketing staff
• Develops and maintains a marketing information database that will be the central source of all revenue related information for support of marketing decision-making, including the establishment of appropriate controls to insure the integrity of the information
• Other financial analyses as required by management
• Assist with price quotes for clients using approved cost models

Other duties/Responsibilities: Performs other projects and duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting and or Marketing. Three to seven years of prior work experience in a similar capacity. Prior experience with marketing information database sytems a plus. Knowledge of Prophix, a plus Strong problem solving skills required. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, must have strong organizational skills and numbers aptitude, analytical/statistical minded. Demonstrated skill in participating as part of project teams A high level of assessment and judgment skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software including: Access, Word, Excel and Outlook. Must demonstrate advanced skills in use of Microsoft Excel.

Language Skills: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Mathematical Skills: Must have strong mathematical skills/numbers aptitude, ability to work with simple to complex formulas and Excel workbooks with multiple worksheets, analytical/statistical minded.

Reasoning Ability: High level of professionalism and maturity, decision-making skills for all levels of management. Problem solving skills, able to resolve issues relating to workflow and billing questions. Must work well with little supervision.
