Only Palm Coast residents west of the toll bridge are considered for
our off-site positions.
Data
Entry Home-Keyers
Data Entry Home-Keyers work from home on their own personal computer linked
directly to Palm Coast Data by telephone line.
Data Entry Home-Keyers input customer information, like names and addresses, or revise information already in our database, such as a customer's change of address.
If you contract with us as a Data Entry Home-Keyer, you would work at your own pace and during the times of the day you choose. As an independent contractor, you will be paid on a per-piece basis, not an hourly wage. Data Entry Keyers working from their homes are independent contractors; they are not employees of Palm Coast Data.
Palm Coast Data is improving the security of the data that is transferred between our clients and our various systems. One of the ways that we are doing this is the incorporation of 2-tier authentications to our AS400 system. Due to this system any applicants that contract with Palm Coast Data will be required to have a SecurID token to gain access to the systems. To receive a SecurID token, each independent contractor must pay a one time refundable fee of $60.00 to receive the SecurID token. This $60.00 deposit will be returned upon a cancellation of services and once all Palm Coast Data’s materials are delivered back to the company; including the SecurID token.
What
do you need?
To contract with us as a Data Entry Home-Keyer, you need to have your own personal computer and Internet connection. If your Internet connection is dial-up then we require two seperate phone lines.
Before you apply, you will need to make sure that your personal computer is suitable for you to be able to perform this job. If you don't know how your system is configured, the My Computer program on your PC will give you that information. Check the capacity of your local disk (usually called the C drive) to make sure you have at least 200 MB (megabytes) of free (not used) space. The My Computer program also tells you what System is running on your computer and how much memory (called RAM) your computer has. Verify that your System is either Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, or XP and that you have at least 16 MB (megabytes) of memory (RAM). You will also need a CD-ROM drive and a modem. The modem must be 33.6 KB (kilobytes) or faster and can be internal (installed inside your computer) or external (connected to your computer).
