Identifying Unauthorized Sub-Agent Sales
JULY 18, 2006— Palm Coast Data has a new service offering that allows clients to identify orders sold by sub-agents that they have not authorized. Agents often engage sub-agents to promote and sell subscriptions on our clients' behalf. As not all sub-agents conduct business as one would like, clients can identify for us those particular sub-agents that they do not want to accept orders from.
This is how the service works. Clients can provide us the IDs or EINs (Employer Identification Numbers) of sub-agents that do not have their permission to sell subscriptions (new or renewals). As we process the client’s agency order files, we will have the ability to flag those orders solicited by sub-agents that the client identified as not authorized.
Once we’ve loaded the file and flagged the suspect orders, we will provide the client with information about the orders on the file, such as the total number of orders, number of flagged as suspect orders broken out by sub-agent, and gross and net dollar amounts. The client can then determine whether we should go ahead and process the orders, or reject the orders flagged as sold by unauthorized sub-agents.
Clients will be able to review the rejected orders on a detailed report.
